Historic England is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced organisation to design and deliver a teacher professional development programme in the South East of England. The programme will focus on building teachers’ confidence, capacity and capability to use local heritage and the historic environment within curriculum-based teaching and learning. It is not intended to provide one-off workshops for pupils, but to support teachers and schools to embed local heritage learning in a meaningful and sustainable way, supported by appropriate local heritage partnerships and Historic England resources.
