In plain English
Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust wants one ICT partner to run its schools' IT for five years from April 2027 to March 2032, covering a managed service, service desk, on-site staffing, infrastructure, cybersecurity, VoIP telephony and staff training. It may also include supplying and supporting around 2,500 Apple iPads over the five years under a one-to-one pupil device scheme, with repair and replacement built in.
Good fit for: Established managed IT service providers with education experience and Apple device supply/support capability.
Watch out: Apple device and education app training must come from an appropriately accredited training provider with real-world 1:1 classroom experience; Service desk cover 52 weeks a year including out of hours, plus on-site school staffing against an agreed service level agreement; Must support the Trust's existing Securly filtering and Barracuda email security products; Potential supply and lifecycle management of around 2,500 iPads - significant cash-flow and logistics commitment

What the buyer says
The ICT Support at LAAT is currently provided by a single outsourced support provider who provides a mix of scheduled onsite visits and remote support. Therefore, LAAT is taking the opportunity to go to the market to identify the best innovative and forward-looking partner to work with them in the support, delivery and development of their ICT provision over the next five years providing both the Managed Service Support and potentially 1:1 device procurement and support. Given the significant investment in Apple devices, and based on experience from the pilot 1:1 project, the Trust will require specific training and CPD on the use of Apple devices and education specific applications in the classroom (including, but not limited to, Showbie - which is currently used in the pilot schools) from an appropriately accredited training provider, with 'real-world' experience of Apple devices being used in a 1:1/classroom context. The Trust is open to the MSP providing this training, but the Trust has built up a strong relationship with an exi…
