Framework: winning a place puts you on an approved list for future work. It's the entry ticket, not guaranteed work.

In plain English

Babcock, acting for the Ministry of Defence, wants to set up an 8-year list of approved suppliers for thermal camouflage sheets and related items (46 items, NATO stock numbers), running from February 2027 to July 2035. Getting on this list is the entry ticket to future orders, not a guarantee of any work.

Good fit for: Manufacturers or suppliers of military-grade camouflage and thermal protection materials with defence supply experience

The catch:
  • Items must meet specific NATO Stock Number compliance standards issued with tender documents
  • A Cyber Risk Level 1 rating applies, suggesting cyber security requirements must be met
  • No business is guaranteed even if you win a place on the framework
  • Suppliers must pass a Procurement Specific Questionnaire and are subject to mandatory exclusion checks before being invited to tender
