Framework: winning a place puts you on an approved list for future work. It's the entry ticket, not guaranteed work.
In plain English
NHS pharmacy buyers across the North East and Yorkshire want to set up a list of approved suppliers for high tech homecare medicines services — delivering and supporting specialist medicines such as compounded antimicrobials, chemotherapy, desferrioxamine and metabolic disorder treatments to patients at home. The list runs from 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2029, is split into six lots, and is open to member and (with approval) non-member NHS trusts.
Good fit for: Licensed homecare medicines providers and specialist aseptic compounding pharmacies.
- Very large total value (£200m) covering a whole region, so suppliers need real capacity
- Compounding lots involve unlicensed medicines preparation, which needs the right pharmaceutical licences and facilities
- You must win a place on the list before any trust can order from you
