What the buyer says

Derby City Council (the Council) is undertaking this procurement to establish a contract for a Life Skills Development and Transitions Supported Living Development. The Council is seeking to meet its strategic objective in mitigating a sufficiency gap in local specialist provision for those preparing for adulthood aged 18-25 years with eligible care needs and living with Learning Disabilities, Neurodiversity and/ or Autism (LDNA). A site has been identified that was previously used as a Children’s home, containing three buildings, garages and some outdoor space, which is a Council-owned asset located in Sinfin, to the south of Derby City. The initial contract period is 5 years; the contract is estimated to commence 03/04/2028 and expire 02/04/2033. There will be an option to extend the contract for 5 years in annual increments, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs. Maximum contract period, therefore, is 10 years to 02/04/2038. Derby City Council reserves the right to extent the contract terms and up to an additional 50% of the budget stated in the Budget section of this document. Permitted Modifications for example are: • Should there be further development to the designated site then the contract may be modified to encompass the delivery of requirements at any additi…
