In plain English

Nottingham City Council wants to set up an open list of approved providers (a framework) for Homelessness Prevention Services, covering accommodation-based support and community-based advice/outreach services, running from 8 January 2027 with a total possible term of up to eight years. Getting on this list is the entry ticket to future work, not guaranteed work, as individual contracts will be awarded later through call-off competitions.

Good fit for: Housing support providers, homelessness charities and social care organisations delivering accommodation or outreach services for people at risk of homelessness.

The catch (with the notice's own words):
  • Multi-stage pass/fail assessment Where a Supplier fails the any stage as described below, their Tender will not be assessed any further
  • Must act ethically in sourcing accommodation Suppliers will be required to behave lawfully and ethically in sourcing Accommodation and in a manner that does not create additional Homelessness
  • Replaces earlier frameworks; existing members must reapply if they are on the above Frameworks and wish to participate in future contract opportunities for this service, they will need to submit a response to this Procurement
