What the buyer says

The requirement includes the removal and disposal of an existing timber footbridge and supply and Installation of a new 12m footbridge. Resurfacing of 900 metres of riverside walk in Type 1 Mot granite topped with fines and edged with timber boards. Removal and disposal of 6 old timber fishing platforms, supply and installation of six replacement fishing platforms and one canoe platform. Supply and Installation of 20 seats/benches. Please note that these works are subject to Norfolk County Council receiving approval from the Environment Agency following their recent submission of a Flood Risk Activity Permit (FRAP).  The contractor will be required to provide appropriate documentation (such as Construction Phase Plan, Risk Assessments and Method Statements) to Norfolk County Council to support the any discussion with the Environment Agency . ALL pre-FRAP approval works will be paid to the contractor regardless of the FRAP outcome. Please note the Pricing Schedule Part 1 Preliminary works will include all contractor support to Norfolk County Council and Environment Agency to secure the Flood Risk Activity Permit, and Part 2 all other costs including supply and installation of requested infrastructure. In respect of Local Government Reorganisation (“LGR”), on 7 September 2026 the government withdrew an earlier decision that it was minded to establish three unitary councils for Norfolk and announced a ‘rapid review’ of its LGR programme in respect of Norfolk and some other areas.
