In plain English
Manchester City Council is reviewing its statutory and non-statutory Advocacy services ahead of the current contract ending on 30 September 2027, with any future service running from 1 October 2027 to 30 September 2030. This is a preliminary market engagement exercise, not a live tender - the council is gathering views from advocacy providers via a survey and a workshop before deciding whether to run a competitive tender.
Good fit for: Organisations that currently provide statutory and/or non-statutory advocacy services, even if not currently delivering in Manchester.
- Taking part now doesn't guarantee a place in any future tender
Participation in the preliminary market engagement does not mean that you will automatically qualify for the tender opportunity
- Attendance expected at a Teams workshop plus a short survey
Advocacy providers are invited to attend a Preliminary Market Engagement workshop via Teams (to be held at 3pm on Tuesday 20th October 2026)
